Romans 12:2 (NIV)
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, his good, pleasing and perfect will.
“Christ consciousness isn’t a theory. It’s a transformation. When people are freed from algorithmic influence, they begin to feel different. Feeling shifts behavior. Behavior births purpose‑aligned thought. That’s how we grow a value‑driven, Christ‑aligned society — from the inside out.” — Randy Van Cofield
Randy Van Cofield is the Founder and CEO of Higher Conscious Network (HCN), a Christ-centered social learning platform designed to restore purpose, clarity, and integrity to how people grow spiritually, psychologically, and relationally. Blending his expertise in information systems and clinical mental health, Randy developed a platform that integrates faith, psychology, and technology to form conscious leaders grounded in their values and aligned with divine purpose.
At the heart of HCN is a simple truth: transformation begins with attention. In a digital world driven by data and algorithms, most people are fed content that reflects their habits, not their spirit. This dulls discernment, inflames division, and disconnects individuals from their God-given identity. HCN disrupts that cycle. It removes the algorithm and returns agency to the user, letting people choose content that elevates their soul, not manipulates their emotions.
This matters deeply in both spiritual and psychological terms. In psychology, we know that feelings influence behavior. When people consume healthier content, they begin to feel different. Healthier feelings foster better behaviors. And when behavior aligns with core values especially Christ-centered values, thought patterns transform. That’s where purpose lives: in the mind renewed by spirit, not swayed by trend.
HCN exists to facilitate that path not as a one-size-fits-all doctrine, but as a process where learning, healing, and spiritual maturity unfold together.
HCN operates as a digital sanctuary, connecting individuals to curated networks of mentors, educators, and spiritual practitioners across disciplines. Users can explore on-demand courses, attend live sessions, engage in guided mentorship, and participate in interactive communities all in a space free from ad pressure. AI is integrated only to create a new direction for positive reinforced information.
The platform is underpinned by Randy’s unique synthesis of technical skill and pastoral insight. He holds a B.A. from Middlebury College where he studied the Spanish language/literature/culture while also travelling abroad to enhance his foreign language skills. He matched this course of study with a minor in African American Studies, in which he marshalled to establish the discipline as a recognized course of study. With an M.S. in Information Technology and ongoing graduate studies in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, he builds systems that are both technologically robust and deeply human-centered. His previous work with Fortune 500 companies like AT&T sharpened his understanding of scalable architecture, while his spiritual calling led him to create tools that prioritize truth over trend, and people over profit.
Randy sees HCN not simply as a platform, but as a seed for societal renewal recognizing one leader, one learner at a time. His mission is to support the development of Christ-conscious leadership: individuals and institutions grounded in wisdom, driven by purpose, and committed to collective healing.
He remains active in educational and community spaces, partnering with organizations, ministries, and learning institutions to reimagine what discipleship, learning, and digital infrastructure can look like when built on spiritual discernment, psychological integrity, and divine order. He also volunteers on review admissions committees for IMSA, and as a alumni interviewer for prospective students at Middlebury College.
